PURPOSE
How to run cavitation tests on turbo machines or hydrodynamic components with controlled cavitation and hydraulic similitude.
WHAT WE PROPOSE
The bubbles injection system allows a controlled nuclei population. Injected nuclei are very small air bubbles whose critical pressure is in relation with their size. This system can be adjusted to provide nuclei population with controlled size and number.
WHAT YOU ACHIEVE
By controlling nuclei in your cavitation facility :
- You can achieve cavitation tests at low velocity and low pressure conditions without critical pressure effects.
- Your measures can be made according to criterion for quality assurance
In addition, injection of nuclei is a good tracer for flow visualization.
